Lava U- Knit and Woven Garment Wash Training

Day 1

Classroom presentation on garment washes, challenges with colored garments, wash processes: Scouring, Abrasion, decolorization, Softening.

Wash laboratory exercises, hands on participation to perform processes discussed in classroom.

Day 2

Classroom presentation on garment dyeing, reactive, direct, pigment, and special dye effect techniques.

Garment dyeing exercises in the laboratory for each dye class and special effects.

Day 3

Classroom presentation on functional finishes, antimicrobial, stain release, stain repellent, odor control, moisture management.

Design Workshop: Participants design garment effects and execute their designs in the lab, followed by presentation of designs.
