Company History
| 1999 | John Darsey, owner of Darsey Color and Freddy Miller, a dye house owner, combined their textile backgrounds and founded Color Solutions. Based out of Charlotte, NC they focused solely on creating cotton color standards and were able to attract major retailers, with their first account being Walmart. Eventually growing to about thirteen employees the company began expanding beyond cotton standards to additional design tools to help suit their customer’s needs. |
| 2002 | DyStar LP acquires Color Solutions and provides the financial resources, global exposure and technical expertise to expand the product line and services of the company. The original name of Color Solutions Inc. was changed to Color Solutions International Inc. to signify the global presence. |
| 2006 | Production facility in Shanghai opened (DyStar Technical Services) as division of DyStar Trading Co., Ltd. |
| 2008 | Color Solutions international Inc. was merged into DyStar LP and is now a division of DyStar LP |
